In HEHD 8020 - Youth Development Programming in a Contemporary Society, I made my first logic model, and I loved it. This project allowed me to provide a detailed plan to the Arthritis Foundation, linking our current programming to our mission in ways that people hadn't thought of before. I was able to create core outputs and goals necessary to accomplish our goals not only locally and regionally, but nationwide.

In HEHD 8020 - Youth Development Programming in a Contemporary Society, I participated in a group project that created a new program for the Arthritis Foundation called MECCA: Mentoring, Empowering, Communicating, Connecting, and Advocating. This project was created based on the idea that the Arthritis Foundation doesn't have a formal parent to parent networking program for newly diagnosed children.

In HEHD 8020 - Youth Development Programming in a Contemporary Society, we participated in a group presentation that researched a case study that showed outcome-based programming. Our group reflected on a case that involed reducing Tobacco use in Mississippi through advocacy, education, and service. We utilized the structure of a logic model to identify the key goals and outputs and assessed the evaluation and accountability of the program.

In HEHD 8040 - Assessment and Evaluation of Youth Programs, we spent the semester creating an extensive evaluation plan. This project is the one I'm most proud of throughout my Master's experience. Classes have occasionally lined up to current issues we had been facing in my organization, and this one was no exception.
