In HEHD 8010 - Child and Adolescent Development, we utilized a group project to present on a chapter in the text book. My group concentrated on Nature with Nurture. We reflected on learning objectives provided by the professor and connected them to implications in workin gin the Youth Development Leadership Field. A majority of this presentation focused on genetic markers and the importance of understanding that information in connection to understanding the diversity of the children which we serve. This class was interesting because I was able to learn the developmental science and biology behind why Youth Development Leaders focus on building programs that focus on positive youth development.
