In HEHD 8060 - Youth Development in the Context of a Global and Diverse Society, I worked in a group to present on Diversity in a Family Setting and how cultural differences affect communication standards and conflict. For the professional this means developing opportunities that create a culture of inclusion, embracing diversity, and engaging families. I work with a good amount of hispanic families, and truly was able to reflect on cultural differences throughout this project and think about how I can improve our camping standards to ensure effective communication across all cultural boundaries.
