In HEHD 8050 - Youth Development in the Context of Family, I reflected on the "Mean GIrls" phenomena and its connection to the Develpomental System's Theory, explaining what parts of their system's affect how they have come to be a "Mean Girl" and the applications and guidelines for how to deal with these challenges. This paper allowed me to reflect on some of the challenges I've faced being a camp director and really assess not only if I'm doing things correctly, but it allowed me to reflect on where the children I work with are coming from, and remembering that there are so many systems that influence campers before they get to me.
